Duties and Privileges of Officers
- It shall be the duty of the Chairperson to preside at the Annual and all Specific General meetings of the Association. The Chairperson shall exercise supervision over all the activities of the Association and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees.
- In the absence of the Chairperson the Vice-Chairperson shall perform the duties of the Chairperson. In the absence of both the Chairperson and the Vice-Chairperson any Director may perform the duties of the Chairperson as assigned by the Board of Directors.
- The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of the minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and nay General Meeting of the Association, and shall post notice of the meetings via publication in the Association Newsletter.
- The Treasurer shall have custody of all moneys of the Association, shall be responsible for the collection of membership fees (if any), shall pay all accounts, and shall keep a record of such transactions in a manner suitable for audit.
- Any collection and/or expenditures of funds must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Organization
- The Board of Directors shall consist of members elected at the Annual General Meeting and shall hold a one year term. The Board of Directors is empowered to remove or add members to the Board by a 2/3 majority vote of the Board.
- The Board shall consist of a minimum of six members including a Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer. In electing the Board, consideration shall be given to providing representation from each of the six regions (see attached map).
- If a minimum of six Board members are not elected during the Annual Meeting, a committee consisting of the newly elected Board members must be setup. The mandate of this committee will be to provide for either the election of a “full” Board of Directors, or to start the associations dissolution process, within three months of the original election date.
- The Board of Directors shall elect from its members the following:
- A Chairperson
- A Vice-Chairperson
- A Secretary
- A Treasurer
- and shall make such appointments of committees and individuals as it may deem necessary for the general and specific business from the membership at large.
- A quorum of the Board of Directors shall be 50% of the number of Directors at any given time.

Membership
- Any resident and members of their families may join provided that they live within the boundaries of the Westvale Community as defined by incorporation and that they have paid the prescribed fee as determined by the Board of Directors.

Constitution
This association is called the “Westvale Community Association Inc.” hereinafter referred to as “The Association”. The object of the Association shall be as follows:
- to focus on community issues and problems and to take action to resolve or improve on the physical and social conditions of the WestvaleCommunity area,
- to work for and maintain a healthy community life and spirit for the WestvaleCommunity area,
- to provide recreation activities and promote friendship,
- to co-operate closely with the various civic agencies for the improvement and betterment of The WestvaleCommunity as defined by incorporation and that they have paid the prescribed fee as determined by the Board of Directors.
